Meet David, the Operations Manager at Sure Systems. As the company’s Integrator, he plays a crucial role in managing daily operations and ensuring the team stays aligned with the company’s vision. With a background in IT and a talent for problem-solving, David has been a key part of Sure Systems since moving to Canada in 2012.
Hands-on Expertise
David’s journey in IT started early when he volunteered as a help desk assistant for his school’s IT Manager, providing support to teachers, students, and families. That experience led to an apprenticeship, which turned into a full-time role. He later worked in IT at another college before deciding to move to Canada, where he’s been with Sure Systems ever since.
Keeping Things Running Smoothly
As Operations Manager, David focuses on making sure everything runs efficiently, from internal workflows to customer support processes. He connects strategy with execution, helping turn big-picture goals into real, measurable outcomes. What he enjoys most about his job is the combination of problem-solving, daily learning, and the creativity involved in architecting IT solutions that make a difference for customers.
Beyond IT
David is passionate about photography—especially wildlife—and enjoys playing sports whenever he gets the chance. He also loves hiking in scenic areas and experimenting in the kitchen. As a kid, his career dreams ranged from professional sports (rugby league and cricket) to heroic adventures inspired by The A-Team.
A major turning point in David’s life came through an unexpected connection—he met his significant other while playing an online Pictionary game, which eventually led him to move across the world to Canada. When it comes to travel, he enjoys the mountains, especially Fernie, and counts Tasmania among his most memorable destinations.

David prefers action-packed films like The Accountant, the John Wick series, and The Equalizer series. He’s also a big fan of British comedy, often binging 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Mock the Week, and Would I Lie to You?
When asked who inspires him most, David credits his family for their hard work, intelligence, and kindness—qualities he strives to bring into both his personal and professional life.
