Great IT shouldn’t be hard, time-consuming, or stressful. Discover how often you should meet with your IT Account Management Team to make the most of your time.
As a business leader, you’re likely juggling multiple roles throughout the week. Finding time can be a real challenge. We understand. Now, consider the added stress of meeting with and managing your IT team. It can be overwhelming.
What if these meetings could be made easier and more productive?
This article will touch on how often to meet, who should be there, what to talk about, and why you’re meeting in the first place.
It’s about making IT work for you, not the other way around.
Virtual CIO Vs. Technical Account Manager
First things first, let’s clear up some confusion. You might have heard the term Virtual CIO (vCIO) thrown around. Sounds fancy, right? But let’s be real, it’s not always what we do for our customers or exactly what a business needs.
- What’s a vCIO? They function as a member of a management team and can be considered a part of the C Suite (Executive). A vCIO builds a strategy and makes big decisions for the company.
But a lot of the time, we suggest a Technical Account Manager.
- What’s a Technical Account Manager? They ensure everything runs smoothly. Answer your questions, and help you get the most from your IT services. They guide you and make recommendations. The ball is then in your court.
What’s the Deal with Meetings?
Now, let’s talk about meetings. I know, I know, just the word ‘meeting’ is enough to make you want to run for the hills. But hear me out. These aren’t your typical never-ending, soul-sucking meetings. These are quick, efficient check-ins to make sure your IT is running how it should be.
We’re talking 30 to 60 minutes, tops.
When Should We Meet?
The frequency of these meetings can vary. If you’re a new customer or in the middle of a complicated project, you might want to meet more often (every month or quarter).
But if you’re a smaller company, or things are running smoothly, less frequent meetings might be the way to go (every year or biannually).
And don’t worry, we don’t want to meet with you more than necessary either. 😊
Where Are These Meetings?
We’re flexible. We can meet at your office or online. Whatever works best for you. It is always great to meet in person and we’ll bring the donuts and the coffee. But online meetings are great too, we understand how busy the work week can get!
Why Are We Meeting?
The purpose of these meetings is simple.
- Ensure your IT is aligned with your business goals.
- See how well things have been running.
- Give us feedback on our services.
- Discuss any upcoming projects or changes.
It’s not about adding another meeting to your calendar. It’s about making the most of the tools you already use every day.
So, what do you think? Ready to take the stress out of IT management?
